Online:
* Create a separate e-mail account that will be just for couponing. When you are signing up for different programs and newsletters to get coupons, you don't want your regular e-mail to be flooded with junk mail.
* Sign up for free at CouponMom. This is an invaluable source of information. Not only does this site match up coupons with the latest sales, but there is a forum that you can trade coupons on, ask questions, and just READ on the latest deals that others are getting and see if you can get them too!
* Sign up with Swagbucks. It's like Google, but when you search you can earn points. These points then can be used to buy gift cards (Amazon and Starbucks are included) and other products. There are many different ways to earn points, such as buying online, completing offers, and simply watching a few videos. Mostly, I just search!
* Kraft First Taste: This is a company, that if you qualify (which I have 3 times in the last month) will mail you coupons to try out new products. Most coupons are for free items or B1G1.
* Sign up with ShopAtHome.com. There are many reward shopping sites out there, but ShopAtHome offers you CASH instead of points. I usually shop through Swagbucks first and then ShopAtHome. They also have WILD deals that you can for change or even free. I will say that the WILD deals don't always credit, so use at your own risk.
* Did you know that Amazon Mom can get you free 2-day shipping (on select items)? I buy my diapers online and SAVE a TON! Sign up for Amazon Mom here. Whenever you order more than $25, you will add another month of Prime (free) shipping to your account. You can even add family members to your account, so that their purchases will count towards your free shipping. How can you save even more? When you are ordering diapers, click the "Subscribe & Save". Don't worry, you can cancel the subscription right after you order or change how often Amazon will automatically ship items off to you.
* Go to your favorite brands' websites. Sign up for their newsletters and search on their website for coupons. Some companies, like Bar-S, will mail you coupons. Others will ask you to join their newsletter.
* Facebook! Yes, Facebook can get you some awesome coupons and freebies. If you don't mind, and you security is on high, just "like" a few companies qualify you for some coupons or giveaways. Look up the brands that you LOVE on Facebook and see what they offer for their customers.
Customer Reward Programs:
WARNING: You need to look at the ads VERY carefully. You can easily earn points or $ towards you next purchase, but you need to follow all the rules laid out. Not reading an ad or coupon to the fullest can cause you to not receive points/$ back and causing you to purchase items that you will need to return or eat the cost of. Often, stores will limit how many items you can purchase on sale in a week.
* Sign up with Rite Aid's Wellness program. On certain items each week, you can earn $ towards your next purchase, called +UP. Also, when you go online, Rite Aid has videos that you can watch to earn store coupons. You then can use the store coupons AND manufacturer's coupons on the SAME item. More savings!
* Sign up with CVS's ExtraCare program. Same as Rite Aid, on certain items each week, you can earn $ towards your next purchase. These are called ECBs. When you walk into your CVS, there will be a price checker in the store somewhere (in mine, it's right up front). Scan your rewards card under the price checker and it will print out coupons. Most of the time the coupons are for small items, such as candy, but sometimes you can get lucky and get a $ off your next purchase or a coupon for a big item! CVS also has a Green Tag. You buy it and place it on a reusable bag. When ever you make a purchase and bring it in, the cashier will scan it and for every 4th time scanned, you will get a $1 back! Watch for a sale on these, b/c when they have a sale, you can get back the $.99 you spend on the tag in ECBs.
* Walgreens...well, I am trying to still figure out their system. It is a bit more complicated than Rite Aid or CVS. What I have figured out so far:
- Certain items during a sale can earn you Register Rewards (RR for short).
- You will need to buy 1 more item than the coupons you are using. Say you are buying 3 shampoos. You have a coupon for each on the shampoos, so you will need to grab another item...even if it is a piece of gum, for your coupons to go through and for you to get your RR back! Not having the extra item will cause you to loose your RR and you won't get the savings you were hoping for.
* Shaws. Sign up for their card and receive their sale pricings. Sometimes Shaws will partner with Irving and, depending on your shopping trips, you can save 10 cents a gallon of gas or more. Shaws also will double any coupon that is under a $1.00, unless the coupon says "Do Not Double".
* Stop and Shop. I personally haven't used my card yet. The closet ones to me are 20 & 40 minutes away. Same with Shaws, S&S has partnered with Shell and you can use the points you have accrued for cheaper gas.
** As I find more savings, I will post them here! **
